This resolve was underscored during two high‑profile strategic visits to the Command Headquarters in Idiroko by senior leadership from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army.
Dr. Martin Iluyomade (fsi), Director of the Federal Task Force on Fake and Substandard Products at NAFDAC, paid a courtesy call on the Acting Customs Area Controller, Ogun I Command, Deputy Comptroller Oladapo Oludayo Afeni. The visit focused on establishing robust, intelligence‑driven operations to intercept substandard and expired goods before they reach Nigerian markets.
Dr. Iluyomade commended the Command’s strong anti‑smuggling record and advocated for real‑time information sharing and streamlined enforcement to protect public health and local industries.

Brigadier General Onu pledged continuous operational support and intelligence sharing, stressing that safeguarding border communities requires a seamless, unified front. He reaffirmed the Brigade’s commitment to joint operations aimed at countering trans‑border crime, smuggling, and regional threats.
DC Afeni expressed appreciation for the military’s steadfast support, noting that joint tactics remain vital to suppressing illicit activities while facilitating legitimate trade.
