Oyo/Osun Customs, Aseyin of Iseyin Reaffirm Alliance Against Smuggling

The Aseyin of Iseyin Land, Oba Dr. Sefiu Olawale Adeyeri III, has reiterated the unwavering support of the Iseyin community for the Nigeria Customs Service, Oyo/Osun Area Command, in its ongoing campaign against smuggling, promotion of compliance, and deepening of community engagement.

This commitment was highlighted in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Customs I, Abdulmalik Akintola, on Wednesday, 16 September 2026. The statement followed a courtesy visit by the monarch and his entourage to the Command headquarters.

The Aseyin was received by the Acting Customs Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole, alongside members of the Command’s management team. The visit was a reciprocal gesture to an earlier courtesy call paid to the Iseyin community by the Acting Controller during his stakeholder engagement tour of traditional institutions across the Command.
