Army Intelligence School Tours NIMASA Deep Blue Operational Base
Officers and men of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School, Apapa, led by Commandant Brigadier General David Umaru, undertook a study tour of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Deep Blue Operational Base in Kirikiri, Lagos.
Welcoming the delegation, Mrs. Gladys Owolabi, Head of the Deep Blue Unit, who represented NIMASA’s Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to sustained inter-agency cooperation. She stressed that closer collaboration between military intelligence and maritime security stakeholders is vital to strengthening Nigeria’s capacity to safeguard its maritime domain against piracy, smuggling, and other threats.

The visit underscores the strategic importance of the Deep Blue Project, which serves as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s maritime security architecture, ensuring safer waters and protecting the nation’s economic interests.
