ANLCA Appoints Adefioye Interim Chairman to Revamp Lilypond Chapter

The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) has inaugurated an interim executive committee for its Lilypond Chapter, aimed at restoring vibrancy, unity, and stronger member participation.

Approved by the National President and communicated through the National Secretariat, the appointment takes immediate effect and will run for six months.

Interim executive has Hon. Prince Olu Ademola Adefioye as Chairman, Musa Eniola Ogiagah, Vice Chairman, Olatubosun A. Awonuga as Secretary. Others are Lanre Adisa – Financial Secretary, Soa Ajayi — Treasurer, Hon. Olushola Joseph — Public Relations Officer and Emeka Nwawulezie as Assistant Secretary.

The committee is tasked with rebuilding and expanding membership, promoting unity, discipline, and active participation. The interim committee is also expected to
strengthen engagement with government agencies and stakeholders, enhancing welfare and professional standing of members, as well as submitting periodic progress reports to the National Secretariat.

The National Secretariat emphasized integrity, fairness, and diligence as guiding principles for the interim executives. It expressed confidence that their collective efforts will reposition the Lilypond Chapter as a strong, vibrant, and impactful arm of ANLCA.

This development signals a new phase for the chapter, with focus on membership growth, improved welfare, and constructive stakeholder engagement.

Having Prince Adefioye as the interim chairman is a good step in the right direction for his tested leadership qualities. His background as a seasoned Customs broker and his reputation for versatility could indeed be valuable assets in steering the Lilypond chapter of ANLCA toward reform and revitalization. Leadership transitions often hinge on credibility and experience, and highlighting those aspects helps build confidence in the interim chairman’s ability to deliver results.

His appointment will no doubt be a stabilizing move to restore order, and set the pace for beginning of a deeper restructuring of how the chapter should operate.
