Apapa ANLCA Chairman, Chukwumalu, Receives UNIZIK Alumni Transformational Leadership Award

The Nnamdi Azikiwe University Alumni Association (NAUAA) has honoured Chief Emeka Chukwumalu, Executive Chairman of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Apapa Port chapter, with its Transformational Leadership Award.

The award was presented during NAUAA Converge 2.0, held on Friday, 28th August 2026, at the Alumni Building Complex, Awka. Themed “Uniting UNIZIK Alumni for Impact, Legacy and Global Excellence,” the event brought together distinguished alumni, academics, business leaders, and stakeholders to celebrate outstanding contributions to the university and society.

Chief Chukwumalu, an exceptionally tested shipping practitioner and accomplished administrator, was described by the organizers as a shining example of alumni commitment to service, industry leadership, and giving back to the alma mater. The organizers also recognized his philanthropic gestures and sustained support to the Alumni Association. His contributions were noted to have strengthened NAUAA’s drive toward completing key legacy projects, including the Alumni Centre Building.

The Converge 2.0 also featured goodwill messages, fundraising initiatives, and recognition of other distinguished alumni and friends of UNIZIK who have made significant impacts in their fields and in the development of the institution.
