JUST IN: Police releases embattle Osun lawmaker on condition after interrogation

After several minutes of interrogation, the Osun Police Command has released the lawmaker representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Fadahunsi, on conditions, following his alleged directives to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to attack Governor Ademola Adeleke’s supporters and members of the ruling party, Accord Party, ahead of the governorship election in the state.

Fadahunsi, as gathered, was released by the Osun Police Command on self-recognition after responding to questions posed to him by the law enforcement officers over reasons for inciting violence against the governor’s supporters and members of the ruling party as the residents prepare to cast their votes during the gubernatorial election.

The lawmaker, who was released on Wednesday to return home, has been directed by the law enforcement agency to tender a public apology to residents and members of the Accord Party over his utterances.
