LAGOS – The Nigerian Economic Growth Forum (NEGF-Initiatives Concepts) is set to host its 9th Anniversary, Lecture & Awards-2026 in commemoration of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
The landmark event, themed “Life After Retirement: Sustainability Challenges and Prospects,” will hold on Saturday, October 10th, 2026, by 12:00.noon at Presken Hotels and Resorts Ltd., Alade Avenue, off Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos.
The event is expected to bring together policymakers, captains of industry, labour leaders, retired service chiefs, veterans, civil society organizations and stakeholders from across the public and private sectors to deliberate on Nigeria’s economic growth trajectory, pension reforms and national development.
9 YEARS OF IMPACT AND ADVOCACY
Established in 2017, NEGF-Initiatives Concepts is a non-governmental organization committed to economic advocacy, public enlightenment and policy dialogue. Over the past nine years, the Forum has provided a credible platform for conversations around sustainable development, good governance, and citizens’ welfare.
Through its media arms – Global-Updates YouTube Channel, Bi-Monthly Magazine and digital platforms–NEGF has sustained national discourse on economic reforms and service delivery.
This year’s anniversary will feature a keynote lecture, goodwill messages, and an awards ceremony recognizing individuals and institutions for outstanding contributions to national growth and public service.
According to the Founder/Convener, Hon. Adisa Yusuf Olamilekan, the 2026 edition will particularly celebrate prominent Nigerians and retirees across the military, paramilitary, civil service, academia, and the private sector.
“We are honouring those who have served the nation with diligence and retired with honour. We are also bringing serving high-ranking appointees to the table to discuss the future of life after service,” he said.
FOCUS ON VETERANS’ WELFARE AND NATIONAL GROWTH
According to the Planning Committee, speakers at the event will share insights on national development, economic policies, pension administration, and the welfare of retirees.
The event has an array of eminent personalities:
•Special Guest of Honour: Prince Adewale A. Adeyanju, Deputy President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC)
•Keynote Speaker:
Prince Oluwaseyi Adegoke Adeyemo. CEO Kristo Media Nig. Ltd.
•Mother of the Day:
Dr. Hajia Bolanle Idaiyat Muse, Group Managing Director (GMD), Bomarah Group.
“Their wealth of experience and deep knowledge will enrich discussions on how best to address retirees’ welfare and chart a sustainable way forward for Nigeria,” the organisers stated.
They noted that as Nigeria marks 66 years of independence, the conversation must shift toward building an inclusive economy that rewards service, protects vulnerable citizens, and ensures inter-generational prosperity.

NEGF-Initiatives Concepts called on government agencies, corporate organizations, and the general public to attend the anniversary, describing it as “a convergence of ideas for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.”
