Africa’s drive to achieve investment-grade sovereign credit ratings will come under intense scrutiny as global financial experts, policymakers, and academics converge virtually on October 8 for the sixth International Rating Webinar organised by DataPro

The webinar, with the theme, “Sovereign Credit Rating: Africa’s Roadmap to Investment-Grade Status,” will examine the economic and institutional reforms required to improve Africa’s creditworthiness, strengthen investor confidence and attract long-term institutional capital.

With 13 days to the event, DataPro said the virtual conference would focus on critical issues including macroeconomic stability, debt sustainability, fiscal management and institutional effectiveness, which remain central to the ability of African economies to secure stronger sovereign credit ratings.
