Tinubu Hails Adeleke’s Re-Election, Says Victory Strengthens Nigeria’s Democracy

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election, describing the victory as a strong indication that democracy will continue to thrive in Nigeria.

President Tinubu conveyed his congratulatory message in a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The President said he had earlier called Adeleke to congratulate him on his electoral victory, noting that the outcome reaffirmed the confidence placed in the governor by the people of Osun State.

Tinubu wished Adeleke success in his second term and urged him to unite the people of the state, irrespective of their political affiliations, while pursuing growth, stability and socio-economic development.

He also commended the other candidates who participated in the election, describing their courage and discipline as contributions to Nigeria’s democratic development.

According to him, the election outcome reflects the will of the people and provides further assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in the country.

The President also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for conducting what he described as a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.
