OGUN POLICE DEPLOY MAXIMUM OPERATIONAL STRENGTH TO SAGAMU–BENIN EXPRESSWAY
Public Urged to Remain Calm
The Ogun State Police Command has reassured members of the public following reports of a security incident around the J4 axis of the Sagamu–Benin Expressway on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Upon receiving a distress call, police operatives responded immediately and swiftly activated a coordinated security operation.
On the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, the Command deployed four (4) units of Police Mobile Force (PMF) personnel, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, and other tactical teams to the area. An intensive bush-combing exercise is currently underway, with operatives making significant progress in tracking fleeing suspects, dominating the terrain, and ensuring the safety of commuters and residents along the corridor.
The Command emphasizes that there is no cause for alarm. Robust security measures have been put in place, and the safety of the public remains the utmost priority.
