Rainbow Coalition Assures Nigerians of Prosperity, Mobilises for Tinubu’s Second Term

The Rainbow Coalition Movement – South West, a grassroots platform backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid, has assured Nigerians that abundant prosperity lies ahead.

Speaking at a world press conference in Lagos, Convener Prince (Hon.) Olu Adefioye said President Tinubu has taken “difficult but necessary decisions” that past leaders avoided for cheap popularity. He urged Nigerians to remain patient and resilient, stressing that the reforms are vital for long-term economic stability.

“Nigeria will be great again,” Adefioye affirmed, pointing to stabilising macro-economic indicators and renewed investor confidence as signs of progress.

The press conference, held at Atinuke Complex, Okota Road, Lagos, was described by Adefioye as “historic.” He reaffirmed the coalition’s mission to mobilise support across the South West region, noting its inclusive, non-partisan nature. Members are drawn from across political parties—APC, PDP, Accord, APM, and APGA—as well as youth leaders, women leaders, artisans, professionals, traders, and students united under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Our mission is singular, noble, and unambiguous: to galvanise grassroots support for the actualisation of President Tinubu’s second term,” he declared.

Adefioye paid special tribute to Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, describing him as “a man of uncommon courage, a master strategist, and a pillar of this administration.” He pledged collaboration with Wike in the journey toward 2027.

He called on members and supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation, urging door-to-door engagement and community advocacy:

“This is not the time for armchair politics,” he said.

The convener expressed gratitude to coalition members across Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ekiti, Osun, and Ondo States, as well as media partners and traditional leaders present at the event. He concluded with a rallying slogan:
“Unity. Progress. Good Governance. Democracy.”
